Categories

  • Junior (U13): Players born in 2013 or later
  • Intermediate (U15): Players born in 2011 or later
  • Senior (U17): Players born in 2009 or later

    maximum number of players

    The maximum number of players per team in the Junior (U13) category is 15 players. In other categories, teams are limited to a maximum of 12 players. Each team must have at least one coach (or a responsible team leader).

    Hoop Heights

    The hoop height for all categories is set to the standard height of 305 cm.

    Other Categories:

  • Girls: Size 6
  • Boys: Size 7

    Participant Requirements

    All participants must carry a valid ID, which must include a photograph and date of birth, and present it upon request.

    Game Rules

    All games will follow the official FIBA rules for the 2024/2025 season, except for the Junior (U13) category, which will adhere to minibasketball rules with the following modifications:

    • 4x8 minutes of actual playing time
    • Defensive 3-second rule
    • No screens or double-teaming allowed
    • A player can participate in a maximum of two quarters

    For all other categories:
    • Standard playing time is 4x10 minutes of actual playing time.
    • For technical purposes, the organizer reserves the right to adjust the game duration to 4x8 minutes of actual playing time or modify quarter breaks to 1 minute and halftime to 2 minutes. Participants will be informed in advance via email of any such changes.

    General Rules for All Categories

  • 2-minute breaks between quarters
  • 5-minute halftime break
  • Each team is allowed 2 timeouts per half + 1 timeout during overtime
  • A player fouls out after 5 personal fouls

    Tournament Progression Rules

    The group standings are determined by:

    1. Total points
    2. Head-to-head results (or mini-table in the case of a tie between multiple teams)
    3. Score difference
    4. Total points scored
    5. Coin toss

  • Win = 2 points, Loss = 0 points
  • All tournament games tied at the end of regulation proceed to overtime, lasting 3 minutes. If still tied, subsequent overtimes of 3 minutes each will continue until a winner is determined.

    The tournament organizer is not responsible for the personal belongings of players, coaches, or family members. All teams are required to safeguard their belongings to prevent theft or damage.

    Match Draw and Equipment

    Participants will receive information regarding the tournament draw via the email address provided during registration. The draw will take place immediately after the registration deadline.

    Warm-up Equipment

    At each venue, 4–6 basketballs (2–3 per team) will be provided by the organizers for warm-up purposes. Participants may bring and use their own basketballs for warm-up if preferred.
